The Caravan
Full-Board
With the sole use of WiFi connection, this accommodation is specifically designed for digital nomads, or those who may need to concentrate or work in quietness.
Here you have the opportunity to get a unique life experience. Within your own personal space, you are free to enjoy the interesting and unspoilt views of the valley. The sun shines most of the year, making possible working out April or December. You may sit comfortably, work or relax, away from the sun on the shaded area.
Our individual, fully equipped Caravan is perfectly placed to wake up with the glorious sunrise.
Inside you will find a beautiful wood stove, for those days when it is wet and humid outside.

Booking Terms
Terms of cancellation:
1. If you cancel 28 days before: you get the full amount back
2. If you cancel 15-27 days before: you get 75% from the full price back
3. If you cancel 5-14 days before: you get 50% from the full price back
4. If you cancel less than 5 days: no refund
In the event that you or I find another person to use your reservation, you will get the full amount back less disbursements of 50 €.
Full Payment:
To secure your reservation, I require you pay a 75% advance deposit.
I ask you make the balance of your payment in cash or via PayPal on arrival.
Agreements for staying at Huam Hu:
Be aware, that you will be fully immersed in nature.
This means:
- The use of only biological shampoo and shower gel (If you don’t bring it with you, you can buy it here) please bring you own towels with you.
- In Portugal we have less water in summer.
Therefore, please use water in a respectful way, especially when showering. - In winter you can have wood fired heating.
- It is part of being nature here that you may see some spiders inside or outside the caravan. This is their environment we share. None of them are dangerous, there is no need to be frightened. But if you prefer help to move them, please just let me know.
- I ask you kindly to make or bring the same amount of firewood from the nearby forest, to replace what you use. Thank you for this helpful deed!
- Excessive consumption of alcohol or drugs is unwelcome at Monte Huam Hu, but of course you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer!
- The payment includes a desposit of 50€. At the end of your stay you will get it back.
- Liability note: Everyone is liable for him/herself at Monte Huam Hu.
- My wish is that everyone treats the place like as if they were lovingly building it themselves – this means a respectful and careful treatment of nature, people and tools.

Public Transport
From Lisbon or Faro you take the train to Funcheira.
The train takes around 2 hours from Lisbon and 1.5 hours from Faro .
We offer to pick you up from Funcheira station for 15,00 €.
Private Transport
We recommend Car Rental from 5€ per day in combination with the flight. So, when you come by car, after booking you will recieve the Google maps link.
About Monte Huam Hu
At Monte Huam Hu you will find a place, where you can experience the simplicity of life, connect with the wild nature and rediscover beauty in all you see. Here is no luxury, but the abundance of nature and life.
Once the sun goes down, be amazed as the night sky comes alive, star gazing at the clearest constellations and brightness stars.
Since the end of 2017 I began to live here, develop the ruin and take care of this amazing land. Using local resources and minimise materials that cannot recycle, we look for natural circles. For example, our dry compost toilet provides good humus for the dry earth.
We try to find good technical solutions, the Solar Power system generates reliable and sufficient power, which pumps water from the Natural Spring. Used to water the permaculture garden, for cooking, cleaning and washing. The refrigeration is achieved by the evaporative cooling method and cold drinking water is ready available from the clay jugs. Keeping warm around the place is quite simple, you can use the wood burners in the outside communal kitchen, or in your accommodation.
Cultivating a permaculture garden and by using our homegrown biologic food we mostly cook a whole food, plant based diet. Regeneration of the forest with planting multi species of trees especially different nut trees, for better diversity to maintain a healthy ecosystem.
By embracing a simpler life, you can have unforgettable experiences. This creates in Ourselves and our Guests a more meaningful, balanced life, filled with more vitality, inner peace and harmony.
